My trip to the LFS

Ok, so Ive only been posting on here for about a week. And Ive learned so much so far just by cruising through everyone else's thread and questions.

There's a great Aquarium only fish store about 30 minutes from my place. It where I get all my freshwater stuff. I always looked at the saltwater tanks but I never knew too much about them.

After the short amount of time spent on here I went back over the weekend just to look at the saltwater fish and get some ideas for when I start my tank.

I noticed a couple things that I never would have noticed if I hadnt been reading posts from TRT.

ALL of the overflows were clogged with algea and debris. Almost EVERY SINGLE LR I saw in the tanks had Aiptasia on them. And some were pretty big... Other than that nothing major, just little things, like aggressive fish with some non aggressive and stuff like that. These are things I never would have known, even after the reading Ive done so far (only two books, I bought two more at the store).

This place has become a great help so far. Keep up the good work everyone.

I stopped in at a different LFS, last night, to take a look. They had one large reef tank set up as a display, and it was awful! There was Aiptasia everywhere! There were leather corals that had been dead for some time, just hanging there. Anything that was still alive had been stung or half eaten. The LR was packed in so tight that there was no way of ever cleaning the sand. All the other SW tanks had thick algae on them.
You're right, before I came to this site I never would have noticed any this stuff.
