My tank has to be diseased, Help needed

Last month I posted this thread about my engineer gobies looking like they were shedding http://thereeftank.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99713 . Well, since then, the 125 has cycled and we moved everything from the 75 to the 125. Everything is still alive and doing well. We bought a blue spotted puffer last week and put it in the 75. Yesterday we noticed the puffer looked like he was shedding just like the gobies did, woke up this morning and it was dead. The water temp has been staying at 79.8; all the tests say it is spot on, and the ground probe was just tested so there shouldn’t be any electricity causing stress. What do I need to do to my tank? How do I kill off whatever is killing off my fish?

Are your tests exipred? accurate? what all are you testing? SG Shock?
Just a few ideas.

If it was a fungus, bacteria, or parisite affecting your goby have you got a UV steralizer? That may help IMHO

The tests for pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Alkalinity, and Ammonia are good for another year. I use two tests, one is a dip test and the other is liquid. The salt is 1.021 and my hyrdometer has been calibrated with a refractometer so it should be right.

My 75 is not a drilled tank so I would have to buy the UV and a pump which I realy don't want to do or can afford at this time.

Leave the tank without fish for 3 months. Without any host parasite's will die. Keep up with the waterchanges tho. Is this a fish only tank? If so the salinity is fine, if you ever plan to keep corals you will need to slowly raise it to 1.025. BTW, I tend to only trust salifert test kits, I have had a lot of problems with other test kits being accurate.
