mine is a light green colour. i tend to have to adjust every couple of days or so. very little adjustment, but maybe an 1/8th of a turn of the outlet gate valve.

Mine is always Dark dark green and stinks to the heavens. I get about a half a cup a day. I have a coralife 220 and the only problem I have with it is either it skims really dry or really wet. I also have to adjust it daily.
