my numbers, done right

my friend works at a swimming pool store and they have a whole lab setup there, so I took my water today and here are the results: (we used every test in the lab!! PLUS i scored an electronic ph meter free! "no need for this second one, plus we don't even use them")

ph 8.2
Alk 170 or 9.5dkh
ca 550 (oops)
nitrate 1ppm
nitrite 0.6ppm
ammonia 0.5
phos 100ppb
copper 0

brown/red algae everywhere, skimmer still going crazy, so crazy at times gunk spits off the top out of the air vents and is leaving black stains on the cieling in the back room!! I'm keeping all my media clean.

trillions of tiny bubbles on the sandbed.

Check the silicates. Consider Ro/di water if you are not already doing this.

yes, i do use ro/di, even with the Hi-S Silicate Removal!!!

Today 1,000's of tubeworms made their first appearence! The brown/red dust or possibly diatoms are stronger and now cover all the rocks and sand. I blew some of it away with a gentile powerhead this morning.

4 shopping days left!
