rabbitfish are friendly. I think theyre basically substitutes for tangs in tanks under 150g or so.

Some guy here in KY went to the hospital not long ago over a bite, rabbitfish. He looks a little thin but healthy. I like to watch them.

I have had mine for over 2 years. Great fish. A little skittish but will warm up to you over time. He has become the passive aggressive boss of the tank. Doesnt bother anyone (except the Naso) and nobody bothers him (except the naso)

Someone stop me if I am wrong but I don't think it is the bite that is venemous. I think it is the dorsal fin. When they get mad the fins extend straight out and that is what will get you.

When they get stressed they change color from yellow to brown. It probably was looking pretty brown and nasty in the bag due to the stress of being captured. Mine was like that and at first I thought the LFS was giving me the one foxface in the world that wasn't a nice pretty bright yellow. He assured me that he will change back and sure enough after a few hours in my tank he was back to bright yellow.
