My first DIY project!


ok .. I had to build a caco3 reactor ... let me know what you all think ... its a reverse flow reactor ...

it was very easy to build ... there was a small leak that needed attention to .. but other than that .. its holding up nicely ....

I got the plans from HERE .. Very easy .. I used 3" PVC pipe .. not 4" .. and just made it ~ a foot taller ...

Well .. its been a while since I built this .. and got it up and running 100% last night ... so far it seems to be working quite well ... the effluent`s alk is way higher than my kit can test ... (salifert) .. and the calcium is 490 ppm .. ...

I am quite pleased with the reactor ... however there are a few things that I would change on my next one ... but all and all ... its working quite well ..
