My critters are starving...

After losing my sand sifting goby I'd had for over a year, my LMB looks like he's going to be the next to go. Also I haven't seen my cleaner shrimp that I've had for almost 2 years and don't know if they are gone too. I thought with as much brown algae I have that these guys would have plenty to eat. It's not making sense. I'm getting bummed. My tangs and clown all seem to be healthy and fine. The cleaners just seem to be having a problem.

What are your cal and iodine levels? I had trouble like yours. I added some cal and iodine and they have been fine ever since. Could you have gotten copper in your tank,ie. the plumbing. Do you use RO/DI? If it's just your cleaners that some of the stuff I would look at.

What kind of skimmer do you have on this tank? If it's a good one, maybe feed a little more.

Do you feed any algae based foods? Formula 2, Nori, etc?

I personally have ALWAYS had a problem with these types of fish. They eat themselves out of food.
