the sump water is reading between 0.5-1.0 ppm ammonia.... can the shrimp survive that? no trites or trates showing up in tests yet....

Umm,.. as far as the shrimp surviving the sump - He has a better chance there than if he got thrown away I guess. People have had them survive tank cycling before,...

thanks for all the nice comments
i'll try the sump for Shrimpet i guess...
also, what on earth is this? is it some sort of cucumber?
its tiny, and has little urchin-like suction feet on one side and a feathery crown in front. these are the best pics i could get, its right against the glass. this seems also to have crawled off the brain coral the pistol came out of.

its now crawling up the side of the tank...lol
if it didn't have a feathery crown of gills i'd think it was a teeny, brown, linckia arm fragment....
i think its a bit over 1/4 inch long from feather tips to end.
