The picture isn't the greatest, but check out what kind of brine shrimp I've got going in one of my buckets.....I've been growing out brine in buckets since last August, and I've NEVER had anything like this....I'm using
San Francisco Bay Brand eggs, decapping them for baby seahorse food, and any "leftovers" get thrown into a pail of greenwater to grow out.
This bucket is indoors, although one of my outdoor buckets still has live brine swimming (slowly in cold weather) in it, despite having frozen over several times this past winter. None of the brine in any of the other buckets has done this, and most of the specimens (not all) in this particular bucket have huge long tails. the tails break off easily when netting the brine. This particular culture has been going since mid December. The original brine that I put in there have reproduced, so this is possibly second generation.
Has anybody seen their brine do this?
