Mushroom question here

Do/can hairy mushrooms sting? We have about 150 of these guys in our tank, ya I said 150, and it seems that our new LTA is having a difficult time when he gets near one. I will need to due some "weeding".

My mushroom just stung me the other day! mushrooms are sometimes called disk anemones and yes they sting. I would think your LTA could pack a good sting as well.

all corals have the ability to sting. whether or not the netatacysts are long enough to hurt anything is a different question.

Interesting Geoff. I didn't think Softies could sting. I thought their defense was sliming. Never really thought about it but what about sps corals? I thought they slimed as well for defense.
