mushroom mushroom warfare

i have a toadstool leather, with a red mushroom against it, is there any chance this mushroom can harm the leather? the leather has been ticked off for a couple weeks now, but i thought its from being hosted by a blenny. (this blenny is really starting to get to me) but i noticed a large mushroom touching it today. could there be something going on between them?

I've had regular discoma shrooms touch alot of my different soft corals and it never seems to have hurt them, however, I just found 1 of my yumas stretching itself over and attaching its edge to my Wellsi Brain. It doesn't appear to have hurt the brain, that I can tell. I seperated them and then thought ... Doh! Should have taken a pic!

Be careful with the yumas they pack a stronger punch.

I didn't think mushrooms would sting or hurt anything including another mushroom.

Only when they spread and block the light to other corals.

Andy I have a colt with a mushroom pushed right up against it. It's been that way for months and no problems. As far as blenny's go I have one that has been a real pain in my existence. Killed a whole rock of blue zoo's picks on my cucumber all day and has now decided to go after my new clam! I have a trap in the tank and a friend ready to take him when I catch him. I will never own another Blenny again. (sorry to go on I needed to vent). My money is on the blenny!
