Mushroom losing color

I was wondering if anyone could help me with figuring out why my mushroom is losing its color. I bought it 3 weeks ago. It was fine for a week and then it started to fade to a light blue instead of a dark blue. The water params are perfect. Nothing is picking at it. It sits in the very bottom tank under Metal Halide. Could it be getting too much light?
Thanks for the help

mushrooms change color according to light. i have some almost directly under 400W iwasaki 6500 MH and others on the bottom of the exact same variety and they do look different. the ones at the bottom are also much bigger. they do like light though so i wouldn't keep them in the dark.

I've had mine bleach just like an acro, fortunately they recovered. I think their growth is inhibited by too much light also. I have some blue ones that just don't seem to be growing so fast, compare to some I know VHO only. Recently I discovered that they'd been multiplying behind some of the liverock where I couldn't see, until I started rearranging for a new coral, and discovered how much larger they were compared to the ones under full MH light.
