Mushroom lighting

We just added a really pretty mushroom rock to the tank on the side facing out. About 1/3 of the mushrooms do not get any direct light from the fixture, just a lot of sunlight. The mushrooms are not really shaded, just not super lit up.

Will these survive without direct lighting or will they vanish on us. They look great now and all of them opened.

I have had shrooms survive in the sump for months without any lighting...

rics and shrooms like that may require a lil more lighting.

I think they will do just great for you. I've always found that in my tanks the mushrooms do much better, grow faster, expand bigger, and spread faster if they are slightly shaded.

Whiskey

Thanks guys....looks like I have all my corals in the right place now. This is a photo of the mushroom rock from the right side of the tank.

They look beautiful. The Xena will shade them before long.
