Mud, is it worth it?

I was wondering what people have experienced with "miracle mud" Is it better than having a few inches of fine sand in a refugium? is it worth the price? And if so which of these two brands would you pick?

I have never used it, may be just another thing to spend money on. I have hear some good things about it from a few people that have used it and are still using it the one from Marine depot is the one they talk about. The one on e-bay I never heard anything about it, May be about the same. Maybe someone here will have more info for You.

I'll know in a bit ! I am setting up my new tank with the miracle mud system but right now it's just curing rock. Btang uses the ecosystems sump with mud and last I heard he liked it

there is NO miricle to it,

before you run with it , why or rather what do you want to do withthe refuge?
itis for bad fish or are you thinking algae export?
