well my skimmer arrived today..kinda dirty lol but looked great..should i use the meshwheel or pinwheel for the pump?[IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/MICHAE%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.png[/IMG][IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/MICHAE%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.png[/IMG]one problem though..the bubble plate is cracked in halfits still looks like it could work with no problems its being held down but def cracked in half...i didnt get too mad because i got a great deal shipped but i guess im just wondering if i need to get the 30 dollar replacement bubble plate or will it work fine as is?-drew

That's because you are trying to post a file directly off of your computer. You need to upload them to a gallery here on TRT or to somewhere like picturetrail (i hate photobucket)

As long as the bubble plate isn't going to float up into the reaction chamber when in operation it will be fine. Are you sure that it is cracked in half? Most of them are made in 2 pieces so they fit into the body through the neck of the skimmer ( although I do not have an MSX with a bubble plate, I have only seen pictures).

Go with the pinwheel, it will be better on you for startup issues and will not be too much for the skimmer

ya i was thinking the 2 peice bubble plate deal as well..but it looks cracked..and it doesnt seem to be sitting right no matter what i do to it.. i will look at it again and see if i do something with it..and ok ill use the pinwheel..thanks-drew

LOL. Don't feel to bad. I did the same thing when mine came in. When it arrived, half of the bubble plate was inside the skimmer, but not attached. I thought for sure it was broken. Then I realized, it was designed that way. Then I looked closer and noticed that it was broke. I e-mailed Marine Solutions and sent them a pic. I just received my new bubble plate. No charge. It's white and the rest of the skimmer is black, but I'll live with it.
