Moving..must sell

I've tried everywhere locally to sell my 55 gal tank including live rock, sand, and creatures. Salt water tanks don't appear to be that popular around here and I'm having difficulties finding anyone that might be interested in it. This is a relocation move from Ohio to central NJ that will have us one week in hotel and one month in apt until our home is finished being built which won't be til early Aug. If interested, please email me for further details. Suggestions welcome too. barc@ezworks.net

Ouch a move like that is hard enough but the time lag in permanent quarters really throws a wrench in the works. Have you considered adopting out the livestock and storing the tank till you're settled?

Doug..have tried to do that as well. I just don't want to see living things die. It'll be months til we get established in the new place. When we do we're planning to start up with a new tank etc. Anyone interested in some really nice rock?? HELP!

trying there too. Just want someone to take the living things, don't care about tank itself.

I have about 40lbs of Fiji & Tonga rock that's really nice looking with all the coraline. One piece has christmas tree worms (red, blue & off white). Another rock has a beautiful bright green mushroom coral which has spread with smaller mushrooms on at least two separate rocks. There's something like a feather (but I don't think it is)coming from another rock. Also have a long tentacle anemone, sea cuke, two brittle starfish (red & a green) & a feather. Haven't added to tank knowing this move was coming up. Until we're settled in new housing and all the other things involved with a move like this, I'll probably wait til next year to start a new tank up. Just want these guys to go to a good home.

Wow! Someone's selling their used tank & asked what they usually get for them. So far I've seen 150-250 being quoted. I had no idea. Since mine is because of a out of state move, I'd sell it for $50 just so it won't go to the trash guy.

At peace! Whew! Critters will have a home. Just want to thank everyone that showed interest in the tank/critters. Everything will be going to a new home today. That was my only concern so they wouldn't just die. Had many good suggestions though on how to move them but unfortunately this move will take us to two temporary set ups before getting into the new house late summer. Too risky. I'll be back asking advice on new set ups then I'm sure. Thanks again, Marina
