Moving Live rock in a tank

I recently set up my 90 gallon fish only tank, and have decided that i dont like the rock arrangemant. Is it possible for me to re organize the rock during a water change without damaging the fish to much.

Sure, just keep an eye on where your fish are at so you don't accidently squish one. But, you should have no problems with re-arranging while you have stuff in there. Trust me...many many people have re-arranged their tanks MANY times when inspiration hit them on a better "natural" way of rearranging their rock. heh heh heh

BTW, Welcome to TRT! Glad to have ya here.

A good idea is to have a couple of 5gl. buckets to hold your rock in and a couple of towels always come in handy.

p.s. never forget the beer for perception purposes

sure,,,use 5 g buckets, of if you can , try to snatch up some styro boxes from the LFS. (i asked real nice one time i was at Petsmart or one,,,,) the manager said sure why not,,,they want them back , but usually never pick them back up,,,how may you want,,,i said as many that you want to give me ,,,,he said you want them ALL? duh,, i have a pick up truck,,,bottom line i went home with about 30 large shipping styro's
when i rearange a tank,or strip one down, i use a couple boxes/buckets,,,kinda sort the stuff ie:base rock,,,middle rock,,,livestock,,,,livestock on upper levels etc. kinda the reverse of how it came out,,,
oh ya,,the beers DO help !

oh ya,,,take a mental head count of your fish/shrimp etc,,sometimes fish and critters will hide out inna rock crevice,,no biggie if the container has water in it
not to mention the "squish-factor"
