Hello TRT,
It’s a sad day when you have to make decisions like these. After five years in the making I am forced to decommission my system. I will be moving soon and I do not know how I will be able to break down and the rebuild the system in the new place in a short enough period of time. Not that I’ll leave the hobby forever, but it’s time for a break.
This system is in my home Bend, Oregon. It’s a 100G acrylic tank. There are about 120lbs of live rock and good 4-5 inches of aragonite live sand. I would like to keep most of the hardware for a future system, but the tank, stand and hood are up for grabs.
All the living organisms must go. Along with the coral there are many crabs, snails, stars and an urchin. The fish include a Bi-color Angle (I’ve had from the start), a few cardinals, a Banded Bullet Gobie, and a couple of Chromis. There are three 5+ inch clams available.
There are several very nice corals available. Most were grown from small frags. I would venture to say that the best way to acquire some of the corals along with the rock to which they are attached. This will result in rocks with two or three corals on them. A couple of the corals were given to me, so the original owner has first right. People receiving the corals should have systems that can support them. They are used to about 1000W of lighting and are not the kinds of specimens you’d want as first corals. ‘Nuff said.
I have taken photos of the system. You can view them using the link below. The photos are 175-250K in size so dial-up users beware. I really do not want to ship any of these. I prefer they be picked up. The system must be broken down by April 15. There is no pricing available. To me they are priceless. I'd like to receive something for my efforts so feel free to offer what you feel reasonable (I also need to save up for a new system).
