Need advice on breaking down my tank.
What is the best way of doing this.

Get alot of buckets wit lids to put fish and corals in, Then some big brute Trash cans for the live rock and some of the water, Oh yea get about 3 or Four people to help, Then just take the tank down and move it set back up have new ASM ready use some of the new and old water put rocks in get the flow going then everything else. Not hard. We did a 150 bowfront last night like that and was up and going in about 7 hours , Moved it across town. Just be ready on the other side.

I got wiped as my livestock had to endure 120 cab temperatures due to a faulty PENSKE rental truck through the desert. Everything was bagged with O2 and in a cooler and I thought it was easy.

My rock lived as I had it segregated in a tub separate from all the bagged items. After a puny cycle the tank was back to the beginning with a new substrate.

i think if you must have a substrate, than putting a new one down at the other end is key to having a succesfull move.
