More sump thoughts

Ok after careful review of mevev's reef page (great site) I am thinking that I will install a rubbermaid box with a stansion pipe to drain it down back into the sum to start. I have a 64 watt PC avalible will this be enough light to meet the goal the size will be small perhaps 12X12 or 12x24 some thing like that not sure yet.

lets hear your thoughts thanks fred

I was going to build a new sump to include a ref. then I figured out that I can just add a ref. (which is the goal) so I am going to build or by a small container to house the ref. and plan on using the 64W PC that I have left over. Is this enough lighting for ref.

youre not afraid of the word "refugium" are you? (ref.)

youre probably going to have the most trouble trying to adhere baffles. The rubbermaids dont like silicon and most glues dont work longterm.

...and the 64w light should be fine depending on what youre intending on putting in there.

Not afraid just lazy(plus I cant spell to save my butt). I did not like the rubbermaid idea I was thinking more along the lines of a 20 or 30 gal tank and cut glass from HD.

From What I have Read they help to control the phosphate in the water (I know this is a huge contiversy here) and also provides a food source for some of my critters. (plus I want to try it on this tank so when I build a 180 I know how i will filter the system)
