moray not eating

i have a gymnothorax favagineus and he is about 8-9inches in lenght. Ive had him for two days and he is still not eating. Ive offered shrimp, and little neck clams but he shows no interest in either. He did nudge the food with his nose when i had ripped off a piece of the clam but other than that no real action. How long untill i should get worried about him not eating. And any other help is appreciated as well. thanks.

it was being fed frozen shrimp at the store...i use a plastic rod to feed him but he just shows no interest. Im guessing its just that he is still new and needs to get a little more comfortable. The snowflake i used to have actually stole the food from the other fish, im hoping that with time this one becomes an eating machine as well.

Get a piece of fishing line........tie a loose knot around your food. and "jig" it through the water. Thats how I weaned my eel off of live food. He had been eating live for 2 years straight. Took about 3 weeks of feeding him this way before he would finally just eat it when i dropped it in the tank.
