Moon Lights for reef

Hi, im in the process of getting my 12 gallon setup.
Want to keep mainly an Invert tank with maybe 1 fish

I wont do coral right away but I would like to add some after the tank
is stable.

I ordered a coralight 96W 50/50 light for the top of my 12 gal.
This light didnt include the moonlights built in, but I see you can easily
add them, as they attach to your hood/cover.

How important is it too have moon lights for an invert tank, or would this only really be needed for the coral to photosynthis properly?

Oh yeah Welcome to TRT!!!!

the thing with moon lights is that unless they are on a moon phase timer, they are not really doing anything, i dont belive there is any real lititure out there saying they really do anything at all...you can get them if you want to.
