Monday Morning!!
Good Morning Early Risers!! Well just took my first sip of hot black coffee and the time is 4:53a.m.MST in Missoula, Montana.
I am on my fourth day of a 5 day weekend and it sure goes by quite fast. My new Nikon Coolpix 990 digital camera will be here tomorrow so I am really excited about that and I am sure I will be pulling my hair out trying to operate it!!!
Let the monster cat out on the balcony to do his nature call.
Will be doing a 15 gallon water change on my tank this morning. This is always "not the fun part" of reef keeping.
Well stop by and have a cup of coffee with me as I enjoy the "QUIET " time. Johnny

Good Morning Johnny,
Unfortunately, I had only 2 days to sqeeze 5 days' worth of activities into! Now, it's time to go back to work to get some rest!
I hope you and Pat enjoy the day and the CoolPix arrives today!

Come on baby, WAKE UP!!! lol Alice
Well I finally completed one of the many fun tasks with reef aquariums-------THE WATER CHANGE------- and it took me about 30-40 minutes to take out 15 gallons of water in my 80 reef and replace it.
I want my water and tank looking good for picture taking this week!! Man this is getting exciting!!
Ok back to the board to help others!! Johnny

Doug, if I don't go in today will you write me a note?
Johnny, how do you do your water changes? I have a long piece of 5/8" tubing, split in two by a ball valve for easy stop/start of syphon and an elbow at one end (for hooking over the tank rim so it doesn't fall out). That and a big power head sure did speed up my water changes

Hey Alice!! I just pucker up my lips and get the water started in the tube and siphon out the needed water and then I put the new water in with a 11/2 gallon bucket. The pump sounds like a good idea. Johnny

Well, I am home sick today. Got that cold, sore throat, headache again. Three days now and this morning my daughter is also home with the start of the same thing. This is my third day with it so I hope others do not get it.
I too did a water change and did it Johnny's way. I need to figure out a powerhead setup so putting the new back in goes quicker and less dripping all over the place.
Maybe I can convince my wife that we need one of those cameras for our Aruba trip in December. Hmmmm Well, post lots of pictures so I can show her. BTW where did you purchase it from?
Back to the couch.
Homer

Darn Homer! I hope you and your daughter are feeling better soon. Better start dosing with Selcon-soaked garlic. And you thought getting her to take cough syrup was tough
