mixing clowns

I have a pair of false percs that are a pair although they don't spawn. I am getting a new tank and it comes with a maroon clown. Will I be able to have a maroon and 2 percs in a 90 or is that just asking for trouble? The aquascaping is going to be all different when the maroon gets put in...if I put them all in at the same time might they do okay or should I just trade in the maroon right away?

Bad idea, maroons are already by far the most aggressive clowns there is, even without another clown in the tank. The maroon will probably chase your fish around all day.

You might be okay with a 90 but Maroons are notorious for being mean. Try it out..thats all you can do. Sometimes it works out....sometimes it doesnt.

Really is too bad, maroons are beautiful fish but theyll kill anything to defend their territory. If you want to mix clowns try something like oscellaris and percula or black and white oscellaris and percula something like that, since they are of pretty much the same species and look the same

I'll just take it to the LFS to trade. I already know I'm going to have to trade in some damsels and a cardinal that will come with it that I don't want. I just really love maroon clowns and I thought maybe in a 90 it would be okay. I would LOVE some BW percs though....soooo cool.

Haha yep the black and white are my 2nd favorite. If you would do that, use a smaller tank with all the clowns in it at the same time to let them get used to eachother and break up any fighting. They should get used to eachother pretty quick since they are very alike.
