microbubbles help

i made a new sump last week out of a 20 gallon long tank and some plexiglass. i put a bubble trap in a 1 inch over and under but i still am getting tons of small bubbles in tank. i need some ideas to fix this problem please help

Give it a month or so, and you should see a reduction in microbubbles. Another thing to do is put filter socks on your overflow outlet or skimmer outlet, this also helps cut down microbubbles -- but they need to be cleaned at least once a week.

If you have any plating or foliacious corals, make sure there are no big air bubbles trapped underneath them. M'bubbles are usually not a problem in a reef, we just don't like the look of them.
