Metal Halide are fired by special ballasts, that only work on bulbs of identical wattage, typically 175, 250, and 400 watt
the ballast them selves generally run on 110 thought you can get them in 220
You can run any color temp bulb of a given wattage on a ballast, ie any 250 watt bulb whether its 6500K or 20,000K dont matter as long as its a 250 watt bulb. Ideally MH cover approx 2x2 foot area so figure 2 bulbs on a 4 ft tank
