MH Problem...Bulb or Ballast

Yesterday I noticed that my MH was not working.

Ballast: IceCap 250 watt
Bulb: XM 10000K SE

When the ballast is turned on it just buzzes (I do not beleive it did this before...at least it wasn't as loud as it is now) and the bulb does not turn on. There appears to be nothing physically wrong with the bulb. I have no extra bulbs or ballast, but I was wondering if there is any way to tell which part is not working.

The PC actinics are still working (on for 12 hrs per day). But how long will the coral survive without the MH or any other daylights. I'm already looking at a minimum timeframe of 4 days assuming I could get a replacement bulb or ballast by Tuesday.

What is the deal with the "New Posts" area. I posted this 2 hours ago and its already removed. Did some settings on this area change?

i would run and get yourself a 250w MH bulb from HD as a test bulb just for this purpose. they are less than $10. it will allow you to test which could be the problem.
