MH Fixture Temperature

For anyone that has 250W Pendants ...

How warm do your HQI pendants get after operating for a little while?

I just bought some. They are vented and are fine but get pretty toasty. Once warmed up, I wouldn't want to keep my hand on them for too long.

ya that happens with my 150w its normal

The MH heat is normal and a part of having halides. The fixtures will get way too hot to touch.
