MH choice for SPS

Hey all, I have quite a few SPS now in my 150 (2 x 400 watt 14k Hamilton MH). I am already thinking about what bulbs to get in the future. My water quality is great and I am seein pretty good growth. I have no supplimentary lights (i.e. actinic). I am thinking of gettting 20k when i replace my bulbs. However, I really want a bulb that will help everything to grow as fast as it can, but I really want a little bluer bulb than I have now. any suggestions? also I would like to avoid the super neon look of some 20k's.

the higher the blue the slower the growth. you can try supplimenting with some 6.5K flourescents for added growth, but not to sure how effective they would be since they do not have the penetrating power.

i believe the all time growth king is still the Iwasaki 6.5K bulb.

i prefer a realistic light colouring so i may not be that much help for you. i feel 10K can be a bit to blue for my tastes.

I say go with a 15k, nice blue and good growth. I use XM's on my tank. sometimes you will get a bulb that will die fast but in general they work great.

I really like Phoenix 14K bulbs. I also supplement with VHO actinics. I am testing out Phoenix and Hamiltons and both are 14K but the phoenixs are just a little bluer.
