Question

Medium to mogul adapter

I have 3 175 Watt metal halide fixtures on my 6', 125G tank. These are a medium base. Are there bulbs available with this base that are sufficient for corals? Can I use an adapter that steps up from medium to mogul? Trying to make this work without spending $500 on new lights

Can't say I know what "medium base" means. Can you elaborate on brand/part number of the hardware is?

Also, I moved this to general reef discussion for better exposure.

Ok I looked up medium based metal halide buld and it is a scerw on tread but looks like a 110v regular outlet bulb. how big are the threads on the bulbs and what is the ballast rated for?
