Mean Hermit Crab

Heya!

There's this really mean blue legged hermit in my tank. He's the biggest of the bunch. Everyday I find him picking on some poor little hermit half his size. He turns them over and digs his claws into their shell. I don't think they are playing. As soon as I push him away, the little terrified crab runs for his life.

What's up with this crab? He's got plenty of empty shells he can take if he wants to. I pay him to eat algae...not to terrorize his co-workers!

Try an Electric Blue if you can find one or a peaceful hermit. Some of them are pretty mean if you get the wrong species.

I have 2 types of hermits in there and he's only attacking his own kind. I push him away, put him far away, and he comes back to pick on the same little guy. He's very persistent. He also has a shell 3 times too big for him. Funny meany.
