Thanks all Yesterday I got the "soft" plumbing done (i.e. not glued yet). The tank has about 11" of water in it, so I'm hoping by Wed or Thu it will be filled and running. Then I can make the transfer next weekend.

Your old tank looks like it is about to explode! Congratulations on all of the progress! Not sure if I missed it, but how will you address humidity issues?

I live in a loft-style condo (11 ft. ceilings) and have an open floor plan - the fish room has only a partial wall (3 ft. opening between the top of the wall and ceiling) so the evap will dissipate throughout my condo. I may install a dehumidifier if necessary, but hopefully with T5s and minimal pumps (doing my skimmer, phos/carbon reactor and calcium reactor as gravity fed), the evap will be less.

Well, its been a loooong weekend. Lets just say, I hate plumbing....and I really hate leaks. I must be the worlds worst plumber, because its been turn on return pump, find leak, seal it up, in the process create new leak, repeat....
now the bright side, the transfer of livestock seems to have gone smoothly, no losses as of yet...the aquascaping is done I think...I can't look at it from the front because my old tank is sitting in front of it. A guy is coming to buy it and haul it away tomorrow, so I'll get some shots then. Thanks to Eric (glassbox-design) for lending his eye to the aquascape, I think it came out awesome. And now, from what I could take on the side and behind my old tank, time for a few preview pics

Nice, it looks like it is coming along well. I really like the mermaid pic, those are very rare!
