Question

Maybe strange question about creature I saw last night...

Hello,

Last night, after "lights out", I was looking for HH crabs to remove and I saw a "worm" about 4" long and about 3/32" diameter that was striped (in segments) brown and white. I caught it and noticed it had hairs going down the side of it. It had a clear "head" with 4 antennae (2 long/2 short). It "swan like a snake all over the tank before I caught it.

I was wondering if this was a swimming Bristleworm or something else.

If this sounds at all familiar, let me know.

Thanks,

Hi Steven,
Hard to tell what kind of worm you have without a picture but here are some articles that will help steer you in the right direction: http://www.aquarium.net/1197/1197_4.shtml http://www.aquarium.net/0198/0198_2.shtml http://www.aquarium.net/0897/0897_8.shtml
You may have to run additional web searches to find a pic of your critter but the descriptions in these articles may help.
