i think Marcorocks are all the old LR that people did not buy. they dry it out then sell it. drying it out kills all of the pest critters that the LR was prolly covered in, hence the reason why it never sold. the problem is that depending on how the LR was stored at its previous location it could be full of phosphates and the remains of the organisms after they have dried out. this matter needs to be removed before putting it in the tank or you will get one heck of a cycle.
