Mantis Shrimp?

I think I might have Mantis Shrimp from my live rock. Its hard to tell if they are really mantis shrimp. They run around the LR rock very fast and semi transparent. I was reading about them and it said remove them. Here is a trap http://northcoastmarines.com/TRAPS.HTM for mantis shrimp and wondered if anyone ever used it. Or if there is a better way to get rid of them?

if they're really small, they are probably just pods...not harmful

I just went to look at them and when they walk their butts curve under them. And yes they are probably less than a 1/4

Probably copepods, kinda look like rollie-pollie bugs?

Anyway, Mantis have the sort of detached eyes and the two praying mantis like claws up front.

They do look like roli poly bugs. Im happy. I have heard bad things about mantis shrimp. Thanks

from the sounds of them they many be ampilipods ( sp?) which are good.. many be grammis shrimp..(sp?) i have themm too. they are a good thing and a great sign that things are going pretty good.. they will even shed once in a while too.

Tony, sounds like you have good LR,,,,,and like everyone has said,,,it's probably 'pods,,,think you have stuff in the tank now,,,,wait a few hrs after lights out,,,and pull up a chair, grab a flashlight,,,and check out the tank,,,,,,
