mantis shrimp?

I have a ninety gallon reef tank, hippo tang, sailfin, clown, blenny, and firefish just a couple of the polyp corals. But we have been hearing a clicking noise for a while. have figured out some of it is the tangs when they eat. But at night they are not. The noise is very loud now. I am worried I have a mantis shrimp, though I have yet to spot him..Any ideas how to draw him to the front at night?

bait. It may not be a mantis.....look to thebright side. It COULD be a pistol shrimp. I have one.......and hes made it through three tank moves....and ive seen him twice. Hes loud as all get out! Moonlights so you can see.....and a little bait. maybe a piece of dead shrimp.

Thanks. I take it you put the bait in after lights are out since that it when he becomes loud. I have over the past two months had a peppermint shrimp disappear and we bought a tang and it disappeared after about a week, not a trace anywhere that they ever existed, so that is the only explanation I have.
