All I started saying was I didn't think you would need it. You said you did. Then I just wanted to be sure you were aware of the upkeep of these.
They have great use in SW, just not always necassary.
If you know what you are doing , do a fudge!
I just have seen you have been asking a ton of "more basic" (nothing wrong with that) questions as this is your first go at SW.
Sorry to upset you.

she has been asking a lot of excellent, well thought-out questions. i don't think this should be discouraged.

I never said they weren't...I encourage her to ask and have helped her out as well as many others a ton.
Thus I know she is very new to this.
Again why I "Thought" she didn't really need one......
Sorry all for coming off harsh.

sara I recommend u make it this way since it might be a little tight in that sump. remember that u want something like a 1 inch gap between baffles and u want the middle baffle 1 inch off the bottom

I agree with amando's drawing, It is about right if You are going to have one , But I don't think you need one for a seahorse tank. If You set up the tank with live rock and places to hitch and macro algae it will be pleny of macro to do the very same thing as a refugium.
