Question

Making a 20 gallon tall sump{Help}?


Anybody got pics of theirs, just need some ideas,

Just curious Brent, why a 20H instead of a 20L, do you have a 20H handy?
I have used the long version as sump on my old 29, it worked out well, the longer footprint worked out better than a tall one would have

Ya Doug i have a 20 tall just sittin around and i currently have a old 10 gallon Amiracle i have been using for 15 years need more room, so i thought i could use the 20 gallon Tall, But i spose i could call my buddy at my LFS, and see if he has a 20 long sitting around,

This is not of a 20H but a my 20L
It has a total of 6 baffels...

I had a 20H as a sump for a while, but it proved impractical from a size perspective when I got my new skimmer. I ended up getting a rubbermaid tote from home depot and using that instead.

Ya, Thanks i just talked to my buddy at my LFS he said he would sell me a brand new 20 gallon long for $20.00 cant beat that

Ya im running into a narrowness problem, i think a 20 gallon long will work just great,

I have to buy a shop vac to clean it. But yea it is pretty clean...I try to clean the Salt splash every day...easier to clean it everyday then every week!

Here is a diagram of mu sump. The arrangement of the baffles work's great at keeping bubbles out of the return pump area.
