LPS feeding

I am still a bit unclear on if I am feeding my LPS enough to eat. I have a bubble, frogspawn and an open brain. I do weekly adds of Coral-Vite and DT's. Anything else that I am missing. So far everything is good, but just a procautionary note.

Hi Grimmy, You need to feed your Frog, bubble, and Brain meaty foods. I feed raw shrimp, scallops, muscles, and clams. I cut them into 1/4" chuncks and use tongs to place them onto the corals. I feed them about once a week.

Agreed. you cant pretty much figure that corals in spite of being photosynthic are heterotrophic, which in laymans terms means they have several feeding options, there for if it has a mouth it will feed on solid food. This is a very complex issue, if you have followed any of Galleon and Landescapers threads, you know what I mean.
Most photosynthic corals can derive a significant amount of energy form photosynthesis, but very few can thrive on light alone. In addition to zooxanthellae(or symbiotic algae) they also have evolved prey capture mechanisms. THese vary by species with some absorbing DOM(dissolved organic materiel) from the water column up to aggressive prey capture involving nemocycts and other complex mechanisms. Offer it food based on research for the particular species involved, you'll both feel better

Is there a limit of my much you should feed the coral?... I just feed all three of them a whole bunch of raw shrimp. And their tentacle were still out which said to me "Give me more ****it!"
