lower alkalinity

i have a salt water tank and my alkalinity level is high but everything is measuring up normal levels. How do I lower my alkalinty level without lowering or raising everything else?

What is the alk reading? What are the rest of the parameters?

If you use 2 part just back off on the alk (clear fluid) dosage while keeping the Cal (crusty, snowy stuff) dosage the same. If you use Kalk then back down on that.

Technically if your Alk is high your Ca should be low. Whats your Ca coming in at?

Also on your Alk, what is "high" exactly?

There are some specialty salts like TM Pro Reef that lower alkalinity while keeping Calcium at optimum levels around 450ppm. There are also a number of other products available on the market that specifically lower alkalinity like Alca Balance.
