Low Profile Bracket for Mogul Socket

I just purchased a premade bare pendant for a DIY metal halide, but it's very shallow with the reflector in, only leaving me about 3.5 inches between the reflector and glass. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen a low profile bracket to hold a mogul socket....all the ones I find online are too tall? Thanks.

It has two 80mm fans on either side of the hood, so heat should be better controlled that way. Do most mogul pendants have glass covering the bulb, or do they stay open?

You can always make a bracket. Riveted or welded aluminum is good.

With moguls you don't need the glass covering the fixture, but that much air flow will keep it cool if you plan to keep the glass on.

I was thinking of making an L shaped bracket about as wide as the socket itself, and then I can make it as high as I want. I haven't seen the back of many mogul sockets.....other than the place where the wires come out, is there any other screws that come through the back of the socket to mount it to a bracket?
