longnose hawkfish issues(maybe)

Got a longnose hawkfish last week. 3 1/2" long maybe. Have tried offering every food possible. Daytime, nighttime, hiding myself behind the plants, etc. I have not seen him eat a thing, yet he darts around the tank and seems very happy. I didnt notice what his stomach looked like when i first got him but it appears very empty, almost sunken, but yet he seems happy.

Input please.

although I am not normaly good at this, I think hawkfish really like shrimp, have you tried mysis, brine maybe live brine (lfs may have some live). When you buy new fish have the LFS feed it for you so you can see it eats, and what it is eating. If the LFS won't do this, don't buy from them .

I havent tried the live brineshrimp.

What do you think about the fact that I havent seen him eat since i got him a week ago but he seems very happy and active, yet his stomach definitely looks empty?

Also try a garlic additive, that works sometimes too. Never had a hawk, but that has worked with others for me.
