long tentacle anemone help

I just got a long tentacle anemone. After i put it in the tank my goldstripe maroon clownfish hosted it. i have watched the clown and i have noticed the tips of the anemones tentacles are floating around the tank.There are only about 3-4 tips floating. Does anybody know what is going on?

sounds like he is pruning them,i have seen that one other time years ago.
if you can look at night in the dark with a flash light see if you can see anybody who might be cutting them.

I think i know who is doing it my clownfish. He is the only thing around it.
