Lobsters

Has anyone ever kept a lobester? They seem like a reef safe dweller... However I heard/read that they like to pick at and eat clams. What is everyones opinion on the lobsters. And which one would you recomend as being more "reef" safe if you will? Thanks all!

they are very opportunistic feeders. they also tend to undermine the tank with their digging.

Do you think they'll mess with any of the corals?

I have a purple lobster in my 125 FOWLR tank.

It was initially in the 75 reef but became too large for the tank. Purple lobster I have is more of a scavenger than hunter.

Beware of the blue lobsters they are predators and will hunt down your fish, scallops, clams and anything they can catch!

I purchased one about 3 years ago and returned it after 1 month of carnage!
