Live Sand Question
Is there any point in buying live sand since it becomes live once it's been with the LR for a while?

No benifit to live sand,.. in fact I call it a draw back because it comes in loaded.
Think about this,.. how live would you be if I sealed you in a plastic bag for a year

the benefit is you don't have to wash it.! absolutely critical when you are exceedingly lazy person.

Lol,... I use Home Depot sand,.. It's $5 for 100 Lbs,.. Suger size, cillica sand,... and I never wash that either,.. mainly because of the lazyness you mentioned.
I do think the araginite stuff looks better,.. but when your trying to do a DSB in a 125G tank,.. and not a millionare,.. I don't see how it's possible to use the hobby stuff at about $1 per LB.
