Live Sand,dry Sand, Or Crushed Coral?

actually I just looked on liveaquaria and they recommend 5-7 inch so forget that idea

wow i mean thats crazy i have never seen a jawfish in that deep of a bed before i guess it would also depend on the size of the species

Only people I knew personally to have one long term was more like a 8 inch bed.

Perhaps the deeper the sand bed the more settled into their environment they become and the less tendency they have to jump. That is a huge problem with jawfish, they like to jump out of tanks through the smallest possible holes.

I would use the dry sand as well.
