Live Rock feedback - "Gulf View.com" from Florida

Has anyone had any experience with gulf view.com's live rock. It looks very nice and it has supposedly been aquacultured since 1993 in the keys. Any feedback helps.

I've seen rock from Gulf View, ReeferRocks, and Tampa Bay Saltwater, and they're all very nice. I own and prefer TBS rock out of the three but all are good.

I am going to be ordering LR from Dale Berger (sp?) @ gulf-view.com very soon.. that stuff looks awesome.. the deco rock looks like rocks I saw in the water in Belize. Sponges and local plans, little corals nested in the cracks.. pretty nice. the people at www.garf.org love his live rock. Once my other rocks cure I am getting 40lbs of it.

A note about gulf rock: it may contain unwanted critters such as mantis shrimp and stone crabs. Otherwise, the stuff I have seen looks good.

What is the potential danger of stone crabs???

I just ordered 200 pounds of premium from Dale and some "real" live sand. I'm pumped!!!

Stone crabs might eat snails and other little guys. It isn't a huge deal, but I thought I would mention the above.

I used to love gulf rock -- I've got a 15lb boulder in my tank, but let me stress something; THEYRE BOULDERS. Heavy, dense limestone. They arent fluffy and airey like much of the premium pacific rock.

I would sooner buy 90% dry base premium pacific rock and 10% seed rock.
