Question

live food????


would it be a good thing or a bad thing to feed my fish live brine shrimp everytime i feed them????? is it going to affect my water quality raise the ammonia or do nothing at all??? i was wondering if anyone had any answers for me???

Brine shrimp are relatively low on nutritional value. You aren't really adding much except excess waste material to the tank. That said, I like to toss some in from time to time, but just to keep my fish entertained. I certainly wouldn't do it on a regular basis.

I like feeding my fish live food every so often. They seem to get a thrill out of it, but it seems like if I do it too often, they get a little spoiled and leave the non-living food alone.

i agree, brine once in a while. Frozen Mysis are much better.

frozen mysis and pellets make up 75% of my fishies diet


occasional brine/bloodworm/Spirulna flake

Live brine is a little better in nutritional value, but still far from mysiids.

Variety is a good thing.
