Lion doesn't look so hot

In the past day or two, my volatin has gone downhill fast. He's got what looks like an chunk of flesh missing on his back, right beneath a spine. His front two spines look as if the were broken, cause they aren't sticking up like the others. It would appear as if a rock fell on him, but no rocks are stacked in this tank, and they all seem to be where they were before. He didn't eat today like he normally does. Oh, and his other fins look curled, wilted if you will. I am running copper in this tank right now (3.0 ppm) and have been for a week or two at that level (parasite prob with my white line trigger - he looks great now). Is it possible that the trigger is giving my line some grief?? they have been together for about 6 months and never had any probs. BTW this is in a 50g, there is the lion, trigger, and a small dragon wrasse, thats it. He really doesn't look so hot, what do I do??

My volitan gets into lil fights with my clown trigger, along with everyone else at times in my 180 FO, not sure on the dose of your copper, eels, lions, and other fish without scales tend to not be happy with the "normal" dosage.. check your copper bottle to see if it says anything along those lines,,,(1/2 dosage etc.) lions can be pretty tough, but if someone in the tank gives grief to the lion , and bullies it, can cause the lion to wimp out , and "give up".
IMO, carbon out the copper and a water change first, feed but watch water quality,,, hope for the best,,,GOOD LUCK

Sounds like it definately could be the trigger fish attacking the lion. I could picture a little trigger fish mouth taking a bite out of the lions back, those two types of fish dont seem to get along very well at all, i had a friend that had his lion fish try to eat hs trgger and they both died. Maybe the trigger is already stressed out from the parasitic infection so it gets a little more mad about territorial disputes easier.
