Over the past week or so my volitian lion has been getting very sick. He started out refusing food and being lethargic. Currently he seems to have no control over his swimming and just floats around the 29 hospital tank that he has been in for the past 4 days, many times on his back. Over the past 48 hours his fins have started to deteriorate, and he seems to have developed some sort of ocular infection. I have been treating with cupramine, seems to me like some kind of internal parasite maybe started this off as his appetite has been poor for the past couple weeks? Just wondering if any one had any ideas about how I could help. If I dont see any imrovement he will be put down tomorrow to end his suffering. To elaborate he is a volitian lion, age unknown, I have had him for 1 year, about 9 inches long. His diet included fresh smelt and shrimp soaked in selcon. He had been living in a 90 gal FO with a 4-5 in huma-huma trigger and a yellow-top damsel. Both are in good health. all tank levels had been stable at 0 amm 0 nitrite, <5 nitrate, 8.2 ph, sg 1.24
